Description
Most security cameras require long cables, and so do EZVIZ smart surveillance cameras. While many of EZVIZ’s products use wireless connectivity for power supply and internet connection.
One of EZVIZ's camera models without cables is the BC1-B3. This camera stands out from its peers because users don’t need to connect any cables to it. Although many cameras use WiFi for connectivity, most surveillance devices still require electrical wires.
The BC1-B3 consists of a single camera and a device called the base station. The base station acts as the central communication hub for the BC1-B3 camera. The camera is connected wirelessly to the base station. The base station connects to the network via Ethernet cables. Unlike other devices that connect directly to WiFi or Ethernet.
One base station can handle up to four cameras simultaneously. It features power and Ethernet ports on one side, a reset button on another, and sync buttons at the top. A microSD slot is located at the bottom of the base station.
The base station has a unique design with dimensions of 160 mm in height, 82 mm in width, and 64 mm in thickness.
The BC1-B3 camera body resembles a glass-like shape with rounded corners on one side. It measures 105 mm in length and 63 mm in diameter. The bottom of the camera has a microUSB port for charging. The base of the camera includes magnets for attachment to magnetic bases, as well as mounting holes for screw bases.
The BC1-B3 is pre-installed with speakers, lights, infrared LEDs, and motion sensors. It also features night vision, smart human detection, two-way communication, and voice alerts.
With IP66 certification, the BC1-B3 can be used outdoors and withstand heat, rain, dust, and storms.
To access the EZVIZ BC1-B3 camera, you can use the EZVIZ app available on Google Play Store and Apple AppStore. After installing the app on your smartphone, it will automatically register the camera and become ready for use by scanning a QR code from the app.
The BC1-B3 is powered by a large 12,900 mAh battery. EZVIZ claims that this capacity can power the camera for up to 365 days. The actual battery life depends on user usage.
